At Merak Skincare and Wellness Center, we use Evolysse, a collection of hyaluronic acid-based dermal fillers. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance in the body that contributes to skin hydration and volume.
Evolysse Form and Evolysse Smooth are FDA-approved injectable hyaluronic acid gels containing lidocaine, indicated for the correction of moderate to severe dynamic facial wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds, in adults 22 years and older. Evolysse Form is formulated for deeper injection where more structure and support are needed, while Evolysse Smooth is designed for more superficial placement and finer correction.

Is Dermal Filler Right for You?
A consultation is the best way to determine whether treatment is appropriate. Your provider will review your facial anatomy, skin, health history, current medications, and goals before recommending any treatment.
Dermal fillers may not be appropriate if you:
• Are pregnant or breastfeeding
• Have a known allergy to hyaluronic acid products or to lidocaine
• Have an active skin infection, inflammation, or breakout in or near the treatment area
• Have a history of severe allergic reactions or anaphylaxis
• Have a bleeding disorder or are taking blood-thinning medication
• Have certain autoimmune conditions or a history of keloid or hypertrophic scarring

What to Expect
Your dermal filler experience begins with a personalized consultation and facial assessment. Your provider will discuss your goals, the areas you would like to address, and the expected treatment approach.
If treatment is appropriate, the filler is strategically placed in the selected area. Most treatments take approximately 30 to 60 minutes depending on the areas addressed. The products contain lidocaine to support comfort during injection.
After Your Treatment
Temporary swelling, tenderness, redness, firmness, lumps, bumps, or bruising may occur following injection. These effects are common and typically resolve on their own within a week or two.
Your provider will review aftercare with you. General guidance often includes avoiding strenuous exercise, excessive heat, and alcohol for a short period after treatment, sleeping with your head slightly elevated, and avoiding pressure or massage on the treated area unless instructed otherwise.
Individual results and longevity can vary depending on the treatment area, product, amount used, and individual factors. In clinical studies, results with Evolysse were observed to last up to 12 months. Your provider will discuss realistic expectations with you.
Understanding the Risks
